Expect to be at the studio from 7:00am-7:00pm each day (some days may be shorter, but expect to be there for full days)

Cost: includes just training & manual. (Additional texts and books required can be purchased online or at bookstore.)


Tymi Howard’s 200 hour certification program in Vinyasa & Yin Yoga will qualify and fulfill requirements for the candidate to register with the Yoga Alliance at the 200 Level.

You will viscerally integrate the information so that, upon completing the course, you will be able not only to teach Vinyasa & Yin Yoga classes but also to answer students’ questions with confidence and clarity

200 hour Comprehensive Yoga Teacher Training Program will cover the practical, theoretical, historical, and spiritual aspects of the science of Yoga. The program requires considerable energy, time, dedication, and commitment. The student will leave with a thorough education and how to teach Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Meditation & Pranayama.


Students will be required to observe and assist with classes at their home studio or at Raja/ Karma Yoga Studios. There will be course reading and writing assignments plus written and oral exams during the training program. A final written exam will be given at the end of the program.


Requirements in addition to Scheduled Sessions:

• Must maintain personal practice and complete all reading, writing, and research assignments.
• PERSONAL PRACTICE- Students will be required to keep a practice log and/or journal.
• Technique-(25hrs) Evaluate 10 Yoga Classes
• Practicum- (5hrs) Assists in 4 Yoga Classes
• Teaching Methodology- (15hrs) Research Paper & Presentation
• Anatomy & Physiology- (10hrs )Reading and Written Homework
• Journal Assignments and Final Exams
• Philosophy/Ethics/Lifestyle-(20) Reading and Written Homework

examination of the history of Ashtanga Vinyasa and HathaYoga)
• Pranayama & Meditation at Raja Yoga Studios / Shanghai, China

• Ayurveda and Yogic Diet
• Anatomy (physical and subtle)
• Teaching (physical assists/adjustments of primary Series Asanas, verbalization and cueing, special cases, and the “Seat of the Teacher”)
• Sequencing of Asanas
• Mantra and ChantingYoga Philosophy and Sutra Study
• Ethics of Yoga
• Business of Yoga
